Invite your team

Bring your colleagues into your Paylode account so they can manage perks, campaigns, and settings alongside you — and remove people who've moved on.

Your client account is shared by your whole team. You invite people by email; each one gets their own login and works in the same account you do. This is how you grow beyond the first user Paylode set up for you during onboarding.

Inviting and removing teammates is a no-code task you do in the admin app. If you'd rather automate it — for example, provisioning access as part of your own HR onboarding.

note

Everyone on the account is an admin. Paylode doesn't have per-user roles or permission tiers today — every teammate you invite can see and change the same things you can, including inviting and removing others. Only invite people you'd trust with full account access. (Finer-grained roles aren't available yet.)

Before you begin

  • You're signed in to the Paylode admin app.
  • The email addresses of the people you want to add. You can invite up to 10 people in a single invitation.

Invite teammates

In the admin app, open your team or users settings and add people by email address. When you send the invitation, each new teammate receives an email with their sign-in credentials — they don't set a password during the invite; Paylode generates one and emails it to them. They can change it later from their profile, or reset it with the password reset flow.

Invited teammates start with an empty name — ask them to fill in their first and last name from their profile after they sign in.

Remove a teammate

Remove someone the same way, from your team settings. Removing a user revokes their access to the account.

caution

You can't remove yourself. Removal always acts on another user. If you need your own access revoked, have another teammate remove you.

Troubleshooting

caution

USER_ALREADY_EXISTS on an invitation. One of the addresses already belongs to a user on your account. Remove that address from the invite list — they're already in.

note

More than 10 people to add. Split them into batches of 10 or fewer and send more than one invitation.
