Choose and rank perks
Decide which perks appear in your perks center and control their order — so your strongest offer is the first thing a customer sees.
Your perks center shows the perks you choose from the set available to your account. Choosing and ranking is how you curate that page: you pick the perks worth showing, then put them in the order that reads best. Rank matters because customers skim from the top — the perk at rank 1 gets the most attention, so that's where your highest-value or most-relevant offer should sit.
You do this in the Paylode app, with no code — the selection and order are stored on Paylode's side, so every surface that renders the page picks up your changes on its next load.
Before you begin
- A perks center. The page you're curating must already exist for your account.
- Know what's available to you. You can only add perks that are available to your account. Trying to add anything else is rejected.
Choose and rank in the app
- Open the perk-selection area for your perks center in the Paylode app.
- Add the perks you want to show. Only perks available to your account appear as options.
- Set the order. Rank 1 is shown first (top of the list); rank 2 next, and so on. Every perk needs its own rank — two perks can't share the same rank.
- Save, then preview to see the order a customer will see.
Membership is stored on Paylode's side, so once you save, every place you've embedded or hosted the page reflects the new selection on its next load — no redeploy.
Or let performance set the order
Instead of hand-ranking, you can turn on Automatic sorting in the same perk-selection area and let the perks' own track record decide the order. Pick a metric and, for the performance metrics, a trailing time window:
- Newest — recently added perks first. No time window; a perk's age is what it is.
- Most popular — the most-clicked perks across Paylode first.
- Most engaging — the most-converted perks across Paylode first.
- Highest conversion rate — the perks whose clicks most often lead to a conversion first.
The three performance metrics read over a window of the last 7, 30, or 90 days — the same platform-wide figures you see on each offer's performance panel in the marketplace. Pick 7 days to chase what's hot right now, 90 for a steadier order that doesn't reshuffle on every blip.
While automatic sorting is on, Paylode re-ranks the page's perks once a day, and the ranks can't be edited by hand. Perks that don't have figures for the chosen window yet — brand-new or recently quiet ones — go to the bottom, keeping their previous order among themselves.
Turning automatic sorting off doesn't restore your old order. The last automatically applied ranking stays in place — it just stops updating. If you switch back to manual, expect to re-rank from there.
Perk selection and ranking is an app surface — there's no client API for it. If you render perks yourself, your integration still just reads the collection (Build a custom perk page); the order you set here is already applied to what comes back.
Troubleshooting
Two perks can't share a rank. Every perk needs its own position — the save is refused until each rank is unique. Renumber and save again.
A perk can't be added. You can only select perks available to your account. If a perk you expect is missing from the options, it may have expired or been pulled — check it in the marketplace.
