Plan your implementation

Scope your Paylode rollout before anyone writes code — so the first thing you ship proves value, and everything after it has a place to land.

Most successful integrations follow the same arc: start from the business outcome, pick the one surface that demonstrates it fastest, ship that, measure it, then widen. This page is the planning checklist; the product overviews and guides carry the implementation detail.

1. Name the outcome

Decide what you want Paylode to move before choosing any surface:

  • Engagement — give customers a reason to come back. Usually a perk page they can browse any time.
  • Conversion-moment value — reward a purchase right when it happens. Usually perks on a confirmation page.
  • A specific action — sign-ups, upgrades, renewals. That's a Boost campaign with a defined action and reward.
  • A channel you already run — a single perk's Universal URL dropped into a campaign email, or a collection feeding your CMS or RSS pipeline.

2. Pick the first surface

One surface first, then widen. The fastest proof for most teams is a perks page embedded where customers already are — it needs no rendering code and its content is managed in the app. Use Integration options to match each surface to embed, hosted, or API, and to see what a product manager can self-serve without an engineer.

3. Assign the two roles

Plan for two kinds of work, often two people:

  • Product owner — curates perks, brands the page, ranks what shows, watches the numbers. Works in the Paylode app, no code.
  • Developer — places the embed or integrates the API, forwards attribution parameters, wires error handling. For an embed this is hours, not weeks; Boost and custom rendering are real integrations.

4. Milestone the rollout

A rollout that works in practice:

  1. Prove it — one surface live (typically the embed), verified with Verify your deployment.
  2. Measure it — clicks, conversions, and earnings flowing in Analytics & Reporting, with your own ids attached via custom attributes so you can tie results to your systems.
  3. Widen it — add the next surface: a hosted page in your newsletter, a Boost campaign on your key action, perks synced into your CMS.

Set the measurement plan in milestone one, not after launch — deciding up front which metric the rollout must move is what makes milestone three an easy conversation.
