Boost
Reward customers for taking the actions that matter to your business — and measure exactly how much lift each reward produced.
Some actions are worth paying for: a sign-up, an upgrade, a completed profile, an annual-plan switch. Boost lets you attach a reward to one of those actions. You define the action and bundle the rewards; Boost shows the customer what they could earn, delivers the reward when the action completes, and ties the whole path together so you can read the business value the campaign drove.
Boost is an API product. There's no drop-in no-code install the way there is for a perks page — you integrate the customer journey into your product, and optionally embed the Boost page as the rendering surface. Plan for a developer.
What you can do with it
- Stand up a campaign around an action — name the action, set what a completed journey is worth, and decide whether it can be rewarded once or repeatedly. See Create a Boost campaign.
- Bundle and order the rewards — attach one or more incentives and rank them so your strongest reward leads. See Add and rank incentives and Choose rewards for a campaign.
- Run the full journey in your product — teasers before the action, event tracking during it, reward delivery after. See Go live with Boost.
- Deliver rewards in your own channel — send the reward by email with a tokenised link and count the opens. See Send Boost rewards by email.
- Keep campaigns healthy — swap out perks before they expire and pause a campaign or a single incentive without deleting anything. See Pause a campaign or incentive.
How it works
A campaign owns an ordered list of incentives — the rewards on offer. An incentive is either a perk — which can deliver a single-use coupon code per customer — or a gift card drawn from one of your funded pools. Each incentive has its own rank and its own active/paused state.
The customer's trip through a campaign is a journey in three stages: teasers (the rewards they could earn — requesting them mints a journey id), the action (with custom events you can report along the way), and rewards (the redeemable details and tracked Redeem link once the action completes). The same journey id runs through all three stages, which is what lets Boost attribute a redemption back to the teaser the customer first saw.
Every campaign carries statistics — journeys completed and the business value they represent — and rewarded actions land in your data as conversions. The full mechanics are in How Boost works.
Integration paths
| Path | What it looks like |
|---|---|
| API | Your product calls the campaign and journey operations directly and renders everything itself. |
| Boost page embed | You drive the journey through the API but embed Paylode's Boost page as the display surface. |
| Your own channel | You generate tokenised reward links and deliver them by email or another channel you run. |
Campaign setup itself can be done in the Paylode app; the customer-facing journey always needs the API. See Integration options for how Boost sits alongside the no-code surfaces.
